If interviewer approaches you stand, use their name, eye contact and firm handshake |

Prepare to enter the room smiling and courteous but not obsequious |

Accept that you will be nervous. It will enhance your performance |

Keep eye contact with the questioner/address answers to whole panel |

Avoid lecturing the panel on your own personal views/philosophy |

Pitch answers at a level of technicality appropriate to you interviewing panel |

Demonstrate integrity by not giving away confidential info re previous job/colleagues |

Make time to think by asking for a question to be clarified |

Stay calm at all times even if provoked |

Be a listener and show patience if gaps in questioning occur |

Always be truthful |

Ask if there are any areas on which the panel would like to hear more from you |

If time/opportunity allows ask your prepared questions in priority order |

Thank the panel/shake hands etc as you leave |

After interview make notes/record questions to assist in future interviews |

Follow the agreed procedure on contact made at the interview |
