Making House - Moving Day - Checklist

	The night before charge mobile phone/s
	Confirm arrangements with new house to gain access
	Ensure that your solicitor can get hold of you by phone
	Discuss labelling of boxes/the plan you made with movers
	Brief movers on fragile items
	Reconfirm new address access/parking with movers
	Satisfy yourself about movers insurance/timings anything else about job
	As space becomes clear clean up as much as reasonably possible
	Give dog a sedative/put cat in cat basket
	Ensure appliances left behind (boiler/water heating) are off/safe
	After the house is cleared make detailed inspection all round
	Read all meters water/gas/other and write down
	Remove rubbish to tip/collection point
	Ensure tea making things are accessable
	Leave keys (labelled) where they can be found safely
	Leave house secure windows/doors/garage
	Asap inspect the new house, seen for the first time without furniture
	Label rooms to enable removers to put boxes in correct place
